ON LEAVING THE HOSPITAL
Young faces younger than my daughter's age
Flitting briskly from patient's cell to cell
Clad in snow-white like lillies in a dell
Comforting ailing hearts with counsel sage
With healing touch,kind words and tender gaze
More than dry drugs they cast their magic spell
Young faces without any selfish craze
Serving with zeal both day and night so well
My eyes turned misty moved by their service sweet
Angels in white helping the suffering lot
With soothing words and smiling faces bright;
In their parting farewells I truly meet
Friendly faces with mercy and patience fraught;
Sisters spreading moments of joy and hopeful delight.
